Agriturismo Corte Virgiliana is in Andes, Virgilio’s birthplace, in the Parco del Mincio. The residence was built on great poet’s home ruins and was in possession of Gonzaga family, the Mantova Lord, from 1330 till their decline. Famous guests stayed there, like Papa Pio II Piccolomini and Isabella d’Este. For relaxed stay, the oldest court side has comfortable independence rooms furnished with ancient mobiles, heated and air-conditioned, with their own bathroom and kitchen. Mantova city centre is just 8 km far from the Corte, riding school, swimming pool and Outlet Fashion District just 4 km, Sabbioneta (historical city palisade from Vespasiano Gonzaga) is 40 km and the Lake of Garda and Gardaland amusement park 50 km, Verona and Catullo airport 50 km.
